Services

The Emerado Police Department provides many services to the community. Most of these services are free of charge, but not all.  Below is a list of those services:

FingerprintingFingerprint

  • Cost: $20.00 (Plus $3.00 service fee in paid online).
  • Click on link above or the fingerprint to the right, choose "Fingerprinting", fill out information to pay online, print receipt and bring with you to appointment. 
    • If you cannot print the receipt, let Chief Lund know at your appointment and he will fill out an invoice.
  • Otherwise, you can pay in person by check or money order.
  • By appointment only.
  • Fingerprint cards can be provided if needed.
  • A valid State, Federal ID, or Passport will be needed.

Background Checks

  • Cost: $20.00 (must be paid before background check is done)
  • Will check for any local contact, traffic citations, or municipal court appearances.
  • Must be a federal, state, municipal law enforcement agency or a contracted agency hired to do background checks.
  • Click on above link, choose "Background Check" and fill out information for payment
  • Once payment is made, you may send information to:

Vacation Watch 

  • Cost: FREE
  • If you are planning to go on vacation, hopefully somewhere fun, let us know, we'll keep an eye on your home and property while you are away.
  • Simply download, fill out, and return the form below.

Animal Licensing 

  • Cost: FREE
  • Come to City Hall Mon-Thurs. 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or make an appointment
  • NO NEED TO BRING YOUR PET
  • Must have current shot records, breed information, name, age of pet, etc.

Bicycle Licensing 

  • Cost: FREE
  • Bring your bicycle to City Hall or contact Chief Lund.
  • This will ensure that your bike can be identified if lost or stolen.
